Jan 2016 - DINE CONTRACT CATERING CHEFS COMPETE TO BECOME BEST BAKER

Chefs from across Dine Contract Catering’s operations will go head to head on 27th January to become this year’s Best Baker, in the company’s annual Great Bake Off Challenge.

Finalists Steve Conway, Jacqueline Fielding, John Sanderson, Helen Ellis, Tracey Bagshaw and Stephen Coltart will present their cakes to a panel of judges at the company’s headquarters at Birchwood Park.  Each cake is an original recipe and can be prepared within a maximum food cost of just 50p per portion.

Organised in conjunction with Unilever Food Solutions, the top three winners of the competition will receive a hamper, a commemorative medal and high street vouchers.  Runners up will also enjoy high street vouchers.  All finalists will also have the honour of their creations being added to the company’s range of recipes as well as being featured in a special recipe book.

“Once again, we’ve been impressed by the creativity shown in all recipes entered into the competition, and it’s been a struggle to narrow down to just six finalists,” said Zoe Green, Business Development Director of Dine Contract Catering.

“I’m sure that if each cake tastes as good as it sounds we’ll have an even harder time choosing a winner!”
