Oct 2016 - DINE CONTRACT CATERING’S EMPLOYEES SHORTLISTED FOR FSM AWARDS 2016

Dine Contract Catering is pleased to announce that two of its employees have been shortlisted for the much anticipated FSM Awards 2016.

The annual FSM Awards recognise those outstanding individuals who have made a huge contribution to the industry, highlighting the exceptional talent of the contract catering world.

Catering Manager, Kevin Vaughan has been shortlisted for the FSM Business and Industry Award, which shines the spotlight on unit managers who operate in the B&I sector who demonstrate innovation, retention and/or sales success, examples of leadership and the ability to deliver change.

Together with his team of six, Kevin strives to create an experience good enough to compete against the lure of nearby restaurants and coffee shops. With 60% of employees choosing to buy their food and drink on site every day – despite easy access to over 40 eateries in the nearby area – Kevin’s unique blend of ingenuity, creativity and customer-centricity is proving a big success.

Talent and Succession Manager, Rob Bruford, has been shortlisted for the FSM People Development Award, which recognises those who have been instrumental in driving team initiatives, training programmes and employee engagement in the sector.

Rob has been integral in spearheading the company’s new ‘Rising Stars’ programme – an internal development initiative aimed at supporting those who show the greatest potential.

Open to anyone at any level of the business – from catering assistants to supervisors to chef managers, area managers and beyond – the programme creates a bespoke development plan for the individuals who take part, helping them progress so they’re ready for promotional opportunities.

Both Kevin and Rob have been invited to the glittering awards ceremony, taking place at the Lancaster Hotel on Monday 21st November, where the winners of all 15 different categories will be revealed.

On behalf of the whole team here at Dine Contract Catering, we wish them the best of luck and have our fingers firmly crossed for the announcement in November.

Good luck Rob and Kevin!
