Nov 2016 - DINE CONTRACT CATERING SUPPORTS THE FUTURE OF APPRENTICESHIPS

April 2017 sees the introduction of the Government’s new Apprenticeship Levy. Ahead of this, Dine Contract Catering has been invited to be part of the pilot group that will help test and introduce the new Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) – the online portal that employers will use to manage their Levy “pot” of training funds and access information on training providers.

Dine Contract Catering, which has a strong track record of delivering high quality apprenticeships and points to its own investment in Team Members as the driver behind its continued business growth, will be drawing on its experience and expertise to help bring the new service to successful fruition, thus helping to secure the growth of apprenticeship provision.

With the arrival of the Levy – part of the Government’s commitment to increasing the number of apprentices to 3 million by 2020 – and the introduction of new apprenticeship standards, work-based learning is facing changing and challenging times.

However, with constructive dialogue between key stakeholders from early stages onwards, Dine Contract Catering believes that these will also be exciting times with apprenticeship training going from strength to strength – for the benefit of business, industry and of course, apprentices.
