Jan 2017 - DINE CONTRACT CATERING KICK-STARTS THE NEW YEAR WITH HIGHER RECOGNITION FROM INVESTORS IN PEOPLE

Entrepreneurial operator, Dine Contract Catering, has climbed two places in the Investors in People Standard, after being awarded the Silver accreditation for the company’s commitment to supporting and developing Team Members.

The international standard measures organisations against nine key indicators, which help to define what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results.  The accreditation considers the views of Team Members company-wide, from the Managing Director to young apprentices and is underpinned by a rigorous assessment framework, reflecting the very latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to succeed in any industry.

In being awarded the Silver accreditation, Dine Contract Catering has gone far beyond the basic requirements for the accreditation, achieving 93 evidenced criteria above the defined standard.

As part of this, the company was commended for its approach towards ethical principles and its Corporate Social Responsibilities and commitments. These include a long-running association with The Duke of Edinburgh Award as well as holding its own ‘Cooked Well’ National Chefs’ Competition. The review also identified the business’s effective team briefings and lines of communication as well-established areas.

Sue Wainscot, HR Director at Dine Contract Catering commented: “Learning and development is an integral part of the business and we are committed to being an organisation that offers a variety of opportunities to all team members.  We are incredibly proud of the whole team for making this recognition possible, and are delighted to have achieved this high standard as a business to work for and with.”
