Jul 2017 - DINE CONTRACT CATERING COMPLETED  2017 DOFE TRIATHLON EVENT RAISING £8,379.60

Team Members from Dine Contract Catering completed the Triathlon Event raising an amazing £8,379.60. 

The funds are being donated to the Duke of Edinburgh Award, a charity dedicated to supporting young people aged between 14 and 24 – many of whom are from a disadvantaged background – to develop the life and work skills needed to help them reach their full potential.  Dine Contract Catering is a long-time supporter of the charity and has raised almost £50,000 for the charity in the last 5 years.

This year’s charity event was an exciting Lakeland Triathlon where the team completed a 30 mile mountain bike route in the Southern Lake District on day one. The second day was an 11 mile kayak across Lake Windermere and then a hike over The Scandale Pass to the campsite. Day three was another hike to Glenridding and then the team finished with kayaking in Ullswater. All this whilst camping and cooking for themselves!
