Mar 2019 - Young Chef of the Year
We’re delighted for Young Chef Sara Lang-Harding representing Dine Contract Catering in this years final of Wing Yip Young Chef of the Year. Impressing the judges with her entry of a street food starter and main dish served in a bowl, Sara will go head- head-head in a live cook off on the 4th of April at University College Birmingham creating a Pork Char Siu Poppadum Burrito starter and Poached Chicken in Miso Broth main.
The competition is designed to “celebrate the rich vein of young culinary talent in the UK,” the annual contest is now in its seventh year and showcases the “dedication and skillful chefs in the UK.”
Sara, has been able to put into practice her knowledge and skills working part-time at Dine Contract Catering at our newly refurbished Birchwood Park restaurant whilst being a catering and hospitality student at Warrington & Vale Royal College. Working collaboratively with Dine Contract Catering and the college Sara has refine the two dishes and is confident to present them at the final.
