Oct 2014 - DINE CONTRACT CATERING CELEBRATE IMPRESSIVE SALT REDUCTION AND COMMITMENT TO PLEDGES

Leading independent operator, Dine Contract Catering has removed approximately 350kg of salt (more than a third of a tonne) from its supply chain over the past year, as part of its commitment to encourage both customers and its own team members to lead healthier lifestyles.

In line with the company’s dedication to healthy eating, it has now signed up to the following Government’s Responsibility Deal pledges, including those aimed at reducing salt consumption:

• F1 Out of Home Calorie Labelling
• F4 Calorie Reduction
• F5a Salt Catering: Training and Kitchen Practice
• F5b Salt Catering: Reformulation of Products as Purchased by the Customer
• F6 Fruit and Vegetables
