Dec 2015 - DINE CONTRACT CATERING MAKES INDUSTRY ROLL OF HONOUR FOR SECOND YEAR RUNNING
For the second year running, Dine Contract Catering has been included in the Health & Vitality Roll of Honour, which celebrates foodservice companies that are making a difference in improving the nation’s health and wellbeing.
Created by corporate sustainability champion, Footprint, the Roll of Honour is announced each year in the run-up to the Health & Vitality Honours awards. The scheme was designed to recognise excellence in health and nutrition and, in 2015, Dine Contract Catering won the Corporate Vitality Honour for its ‘Eat Well, Live Well’ initiative.
At the heart of the company’s ethos, Eat Well, Live Well encourages Dine Contract Catering’s clients, those it serves and its own Team Members to lead healthier lives.
Zoe Green, Business Development Manager at Dine Contract Catering, said: “With nearly two-thirds of men and women in the UK now obese or overweight, we recognise the need to take responsibility to tackle the issue head on and actively encourage healthy change. This is why Eat Well, Live Well informs everything we do as a business.
“We’re proud to have been included in this year’s Roll of Honour in recognition of the strides we have continued to make over the past year.”
Dine Contract Catering’s efforts to promote good health and wellbeing on an ongoing basis include reformulating recipes to reduce sugar, salt and fat, plus regularly updating its ‘Live Well’ leaflets, which provide advice and tips on how to lead a healthier life.
