Feb 2015 - DINE CONTRACT CATERING CHEF THROUGH TO THE NACC NORTH REGIONAL COOK-OFF
Dine Contract Catering Team Member, Helen Ellis will compete as a finalist in the North Regional cook-off of the National Association of Care Catering’s 15th Care Cook of the Year Competition.
Helen was selected as a regional finalist after she impressed judges with her planned main course of Pan Fried Trout with Beetroot Rosti and Pea Puree and dessert of Double Chocolate Mousse with Raspberry Coulis. To enter, each competitor had to design a nutritionally balanced two-course menu for four people with each portion costing no more than £1.50 per head.
Helen, who joined the team at Dine Contract Catering in April 2014 has been providing freshly cooked, nutritious meals for specialist dementia care home, Lisburne Court.
The North Regional cook–off will take place on Wednesday 11th March at Harrogate College with two finalists going through to the NACC Care Cook Finals on Wednesday 10th June.
